The Carolina Panthers made some big moves this offseason, including the signing of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, the hiring of head coach Matt Rhule, and the move to bring in free agent wide receiver Robby Anderson. A new-look offense is obviously on its way in Carolina.
Anderson was one of the top free agent wide receivers on the market this offseason. Ending up in Carolina was not an expected move, but the Panthers made an offer he couldn’t refuse. Now, he will be a big part of what is expected to be a prolific and dynamic aerial attack.
During the 2019 season with the New York Jets, Anderson put together another solid season. He caught 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers show a glimpse of what he is capable of.
Add in the fact that Bridgewater has the potential to be an even better quarterback than Sam Darnold has been over the last couple of years and Anderson’s numbers could skyrocket. He is also playing in an offense where he isn’t the only threat for defenses to worry about. D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel are also very talented wideouts.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at what the Panthers should be expecting from Robby Anderson this season.
