Gone are the days of the New England Patriots being considered obvious Super Bowl favorites. With the departure of Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, the team is now in a bit of a panic. At this point in time, Jarrett Stidham is expected to start under center.
Stidham is heading into his second season after being drafted with the No. 133 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He only threw four passes as a rookie, completing two of them for 14 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception.
Standing in at 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, Stidham has the ideal size to be an NFL quarterback. There is no question that he has a good arm, but he does not have much experience. However, playing for Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels will make things a bit easier for the young quarterback.
New England could still go out and bring in another quarterback option. Among the potential options are both Cam Newton and Andy Dalton in free agency.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at three early bold predictions for Jarrett Stidham in 2020 with the Patriots assuming the team doesn’t bring in another quarterback.
