Patriots: 3 worst-case scenarios for New England in 2020

Jarrett Stidham Plays Well But The Rest Of The Team Struggles

The Patriots have really struggled as of late to find an offensive identity. Are they a smash mouth, ground and pound style team like the Titans? Or are they going to be more of a west-coast team that spreads the ball around and uses it’s playmakers to drive the ball down the field.

Possibly the worst thing that could happen is if Stidham plays well enough to encourage the coaching staff that he is the future, but the remainder of the team struggles. If the defense goes through a regression period, N’Keal Harry’s role doesn’t grow, and the running game lacks any kind of consistency, it could spell trouble for the Patriots’ future.
