Ranking the starting quarterbacks in the NFC East

3. Daniel Jones

The New York Giants decided to end the Eli Manning era in order to give Daniel Jones the full-time starting quarterback job. While the team only won three of his 12 starts, there was encouraging potential displayed from the No. 6 pick from the 2019 NFL Draft.

The results Jones achieved throwing the ball last season were respectable, especially for a rookie. He completed 61.9 percent of his pass attempts resulting in 3,027 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

It should help Jones to have his top receiving threats like Sterling Shepard, Golden Tate, Evan Engram, and Darius Slayton all healthy and on the field together, which was something that didn’t happen in 2019. The offensive line should also be improved after the selection of Andrew Thomas.

It will take time for Jones to stack up with the top quarterbacks in the NFC East. The conditions do appear to be present for him to take a step forward in his development next season. If he can achieve that, the rest will take care of itself.
