In concert with their drafting of quarterback Dwayne Haskins in 2019, the Washington Redskins drafted his Ohio State teammate wide receiver Terry McLaurin in the third round.
McLaurin showed himself to be quite a find a rookie. He led the Redskins in catches (58), yards (919) and touchdowns (seven) over 14 games, and if not for missing Week 17 with a concussion he surely would have hit an 1,000-yard season.
No other Redskins’ pass catcher reached 400 yards last year, and only fellow rookie Steven Sims had more than two touchdown catches (all four in the final three games, at that).
McLaurin is clearly the Redskins’ No. 1 wide receiver entering his second season. Here are three early bold predictions for him in 2020.
