Steelers: 5 Reasons It’s Time to Panic About Pittsburgh

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Le’Veon Bell Isn’t Coming Back Soon and Won’t Be the Same When He Does

Even though Bell will come back to the Steelers at some point this season, he is not going to be the elite running back that he has been for years. Too much damage has been done for him to return to the team and get back to working his butt off to get wins for the franchise.

Bell has already begun focusing on his upcoming free agency next offseason. He does not want to get hurt and lose money. That is going to show when he gets back on the field.

Pittsburgh’s offense has relied so heavily on Bell for years. Ben Roethlisberger is a quality quarterback, but without Bell, things have been spiraling downward. Bell’s ability to dominate on the ground has been well-documented, but he is also one of the best receivers in the league as well out of the backfield.

Without a dominant Bell, the Steelers’ offense isn’t going to get back on track anytime soon.
