Washington Redskins: 3 Reasons They Can Win the NFC East in 2018

The Washington Redskins weren’t the favorites to win the NFC East entering the 2018 NFL season, and with good reason. But after three weeks, the Redskins find themselves tied with the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles for first place.

The Redskins cruised past the Arizona Cardinals 24-6 in Week 1. However, they suffered a disappointing 21-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. They bounced back with a 31-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, though, to move to 2-1 on the season.

Sunday’s win turned a lot of heads because the Packers are led by Aaron Rodgers, who many consider to be the best quarterback in the NFL. Even though he’s currently dealing with a knee injury, he is still one of the most talented signal callers the game has ever seen.

The question is, are the real Redskins the ones who lost to the Colts in Week 2 or the ones who upset Green Bay in Week 3? And if the answer is the latter, is it possible that Washington could win the NFC East in 2018?

In my opinion, the Redskins have all the tools to capture their first NFC East title since 2015 and return to the playoffs for only the fifth time since the turn of the century. The Eagles still have to be the favorites to win the division because they are, after all, the team that lifted the Lombardi Trophy last season. But I don’t think it would be a huge shock to see the Redskins spoil their party.

Here are three reasons the Redskins can win the NFC East in 2018.
