Baker Mayfield Needed Him

Let’s be honest, Baker Mayfield was awful last season compared to what he was expected to be. He struggled to make the plays fans saw in 2018 and he made tons of mistakes. That is to be expected from a young quarterback.

Adding a big tight end like Hooper will help a lot. At 6-foot-4 and 254 pounds with great athleticism and speed, Hooper will be the perfect security blanket for the young quarterback. When he feels pressure and needs to get the ball out, Hooper will be there.

Not only can Hooper be a security blanket, he could end up being a massive threat down the field. He has great vertical ability and can go up and make plays on the football in the air. Hooper is exactly the kind of weapon that Mayfield needed to get back on track.
