Why the Falcons should prioritize RB Jonathan Taylor in the NFL Draft

The Atlanta Falcons are entering the NFL offseason with a major need at the running back position. Devonta Freeman seems likely to be on his way out of town at some point this offseason and even if he isn’t, he is no longer the workhorse running back that he once was.

Dan Quinn is firmly on the hot seat, as is general manager Thomas Dimitroff. Both guys know that their jobs depend on the Falcons’ performance in 2020. Due to that fact, they will be aggressive trying to add talent in free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft.

Speaking of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Falcons could very well find their new franchise running back in the first or second round. There are a few names that have been talked about, but there is only one that would make sense.

That running back would be Wisconsin standout Jonathan Taylor. He has the talent to be a workhorse running back right away and the Falcons should pursue him.

Let’s take a look at why the Falcons should prioritize drafting Taylor.
