1 Crazy Stat For Buffalo Bills’ QB Josh Allen Since 2018

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has made some major strides throughout his career as a passer. It has helped elevate Buffalo to being a true Super Bowl contender as they have one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL with Allen at the helm.

The Wyoming product has a unique skill set as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL. He has a huge arm, capable of throwing the ball beyond defenders while also improving his accuracy and touch on throws that require a little more finesse. But, at his heart, Allen is a bruising, physical player that puts the hurt on defenders.

There aren’t many players in the world that possess the combination of sheer size and athleticism that Allen possesses. It is tough tackling someone that stands 6’5” and weighs 237 pounds that can not only make a juke move around you but just lower his shoulder and plow you over as well.

That is a key part of Buffalo’s game plan as Allen is sometimes used as their short-yardage and goal-line back. That has led to plenty of scoring opportunities around the goal line as Allen has 37 rushing touchdowns and counting in his career.

He is just as prolific scoring the ball through the air as he is well on his way to a third consecutive season with 34+ passing touchdowns. That diverse skill set has put him in a league of his own when it comes to scoring touchdowns.

Since 2018, Josh Allen has 24 games for the Bills in which he has produced a passing and rushing touchdown. The next closest player in that span is Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals, who has only 16. Rounding out the top four is Ryan Tannehill of the Tennessee Titans and Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

That is a list that will transform in the coming season as MVP candidate Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears are producing passing and rushing touchdowns at a prolific pace themselves. Having quarterbacks capable of filling so many roles makes this much easier for the offensive coordinator to game plan and front office to fill out the roster with players of different skill sets.
