Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher Haason Reddick has turned into one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. He has recorded double-digit sacks in three straight seasons, spending each one with a different franchise.

In 2020, Haason Reddick recorded 12.5 sacks with the Arizona Cardinals. He signed a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers during free agency in 2021 and had another good season, racking up 11.0 sacks. In 2022, he finally parlayed his production into a long-term contract.

Haason Reddick signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2022 offseason. He continued to play at a high level, registering 16.0 sacks, which was second most in the NFL, and a league-leading five forced fumbles. That was enough to earn his first Pro Bowl nod and a spot on the All-Pro Second Team.

As Haason Reddick prepares for his second season with the Eagles, people are beginning to wonder if he will receive a new contract from the team. As pointed out by JPAFootball on Twitter, Haason Reddick had the second most sacks in the NFL last season but his contract makes him only the 16th highest-paid player at his position.

While a strong argument can be made that Temple product is underpaid, it isn’t something that he is concerning himself with. The numbers speak for themselves. Based on his production and what he is earning, the Eagles are getting extremely good value for the contract that they signed him to. Translation; Haason Reddick is underpaid.

While he, like every player, would like to earn as much money as possible, his contract situation isn’t what Haason Reddick is focused on. Instead, he is only worried about things he can control and becoming the best version of himself. If he can achieve that, everything else will eventually fall into place.

If he continues producing at the level in which he has the last three seasons, he won’t have to worry about getting paid. He will be rewarded accordingly by the Eagles or another team as pass rushers are considered a premium position in the NFL.
