After making it all the way to the NFC Championship Game just to be blown out by the San Francisco 49ers, the team has to feel optimistic about their chances to get back into contention.
Aaron Rodgers may be slowing down a bit, but he is still the kind of quarterback that can lead a team to the Super Bowl. Green Bay also added a ton of talent on the defensive side of the football last offseason.
Brian Gutekunst has proven during his tenure as the general manager that he isn’t scared to get involved in free agency. That is where the Packers could find much-needed help at the wide receiver position.
Robby Anderson should be their primary target. Yes, he has had off-the-field issues and that will disqualify him according to some fans. However, he is the kind of weapon that Green Bay was missing in 2019.
In 2019 with the New York Jets, Anderson caught 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns. He isn’t a star, but he can take the top of off opposing defenses.
