2 players the New York Jets should try to trade for this offseason

Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver, Alshon Jeffery

Douglas already has a long standing relationship with Philly and their general manager Howie Roseman. This relationship could pay dividends for the Jets.

Reports have suggested that their may be a divorce between wideout Alshon Jeffery and the Eagles on the horizon, although head coach Doug Pederson shot down those rumors. Nevertheless, Roseman and the Eagles front office would be open to listening to any trade discussions if the price is right.

The Jets are one of the few teams that pundits expect to have interest in trading for Jeffery, mostly due to the fact that New York has the cap space to take on some of his guaranteed contract. Philly would also be inclined to spice up the pot a bit with some draft capital because Jeffery may not even be ready for the start of next season due to a foot injury.

It may be a bit of a risk for the Jets since Jeffery declined drastically last season, but they could cut ties with him after 2020 with no cap penalty at all.
