The San Francisco 49ers boasted one of the best defenses in the NFL in 2019 en route to their journey to the Super Bowl. As dominant as the defense was, there are still areas to improve before the defense becomes elite on all three levels.

Of the three levels of San Francisco’s defense, the weakest link was the secondary. Besides Richard Sherman, the 49ers don’t have a cornerback that they can consistently rely upon.

With that in mind, the 49ers will undoubtedly be looking to shore up the cornerback position this offseason. For starters, the team could look to add someone in free agency or through the 2020 NFL Draft.

Additionally, San Francisco could consider scouring the trade market for available options. In light of that, here are two players the 49ers should try to trade for this offseason.
