The Seahawks have shown before that they aren’t afraid to make a trade for a tight end. Back in 2015, Seattle shipped Max Unger and a first-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for Jimmy Graham and a fourth-round pick.

Even though the move for Graham never panned out, the Seahawks could be in the market for a tight end once again. This time around, Seattle could insert their name into the sweepstakes for O.J. Howard.

During the 2019 season, everyone assumed that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were going to trade Howard. Despite keeping him, they could offer him to other teams ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Howard would be a perfect fit for Seattle’s offense as he’s a talented pass-catcher and an underrated blocker. Once Will Dissly went down with an injury in 2019, the Seahawks were missing a reliable target at tight end.

With Dissly having injury concerns, Seattle could consider giving Tampa Bay a call for Howard. In the event that they land him, Howard is only owed $1.9 million in 2020 and the Seahawks could pick up his fifth-year option in 2021.
