Harris would be the perfect replacement for Damarious Randall

The main reason why the Browns are even in the market for a safety this offseason is due to the impending free agency of Damarious Randall. Randall has spent the past two seasons with the Browns, serving as the team’s starting free safety.

Over the course of his two seasons in Cleveland, Randall totaled 146 tackles, 15 deflections, and four interceptions in 26 games. However, all four of those interceptions came during the 2018 season.

Comparatively, in that same two-year span, Harris has combined for 106 tackles, 17 deflections, and nine interceptions in 29 games. The Browns could unquestionably use Harris’ playmaking on defense.

Above all, Cleveland has shown no signs of retaining Randall this offseason. Provided that, the Browns should waste no time in making Harris the team’s replacement for Randall in 2020 and beyond.
