2 tight ends the Packers must target in NFL free agency

The Green Bay Packers entered the NFL free agency with a need at tight end following their decision to release veteran tight end Jimmy Graham. Rumors had them targeting Austin Hooper, but he ended up signing with the Cleveland Browns. Now, the Packers will have to look at other options.

Brian Gutekunst has added two free agents so far this offseason. Green Bay agreed to deals with linebacker Christian Kirksey and offensive tackle Rick Wagner on the first day of the free agency negotiating window. Neither option is a big splash, but the Packers still have some cap room to work with.

Thankfully, there are some quality tight ends the Packers could target who would cost nothing close to what Hooper got from the Browns. Green Bay might also be comfortable with Jace Sternberger as their starter for 2020.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at two tight ends the Packers must target in free agency.
