Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys knew they were going to have a variety of options to choose from at the No. 17 pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. Little did they know that they have a chance to snag one of the premier wide receivers in CeeDee Lamb.
When the Las Vegas Raiders selected Henry Ruggs and the Denver Broncos took Jerry Jeudy, it became a possiblity that Lamb would fall to the Cowboys. But at the No. 16 pick, there was the chance that the Philadelphia Eagles leap-frogged the Cowboys to select Lamb.
While the Eagles should’ve made the move, they didn’t, and Dallas ended up getting the big-play wideout instead. Even though wide receiver wasn’t a need for the Cowboys, they couldn’t afford to pass on Lamb. Being able to get Lamb at No. 17 in the NFL Draft, along with pairing him with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, is a huge victory for Dallas.
