Round 2, Pick 62: Denzel Mims (WR, Baylor)

Coming into the 2019 season, the Packers were expecting Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison were going to become prominent receivers for the offense. But as the season progressed, it was evident that Green Bay needs to get Davante Adams some help in the receiving department.

Also, Allison becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason and could be on his way out of Green Bay. Provided that, wide receiver is a position that will be a priority for the Packers in the 2020 NFL Draft.

After solidifying the defense in the first round, the Packers could select a receiver in the second. If he’s still on the board, Denzel Mims out of Baylor would be a home-run selection for Green Bay on day two.

Throughout his time at Baylor, Mims flashed his impressive catch radius and his ability to make plays down the field. Drafting Mims would give the Packers a vertical threat in the passing game outside of Adams.
