Round 7, Pick 234: A.J. Green (CB, Oklahoma State)
When drafting in the later rounds, teams are usually looking for depth pieces at multiple positions. That is exactly what the Rams should be doing in the seventh round of the draft.
Given the loss of Robey-Coleman, Los Angeles is left with Jalen Ramsey, Troy Hill, David Long, and Darious Williams at cornerback. Contrary to popular belief, the Rams don’t absolutely need a corner early in the draft.
Instead, the Rams could add depth to their secondary by drafting A.J. Green out of Okahoma State to round out their draft. Green is a lengthy cornerback that definitely lacks speed, limiting him at the next level.
While he works on his weaknesses at cornerback, Green could begin as a special teams contributor for the Rams. With value becoming a concern in the later rounds, Green would be a decent pick for Los Angeles.
