With the 2020 NFL season right around the corner, the Dallas Cowboys are still unsure about what their future holds past this year. Jerry Jones and company were unable to get a long-term deal worked out with franchise quarterback Dak Prescott. It was a disappointment and will lead to Prescott hitting the 2021 NFL Free Agency market.
Prescott is going to have a huge market if he ends up hitting free agency. Granted, the Cowboys could end up franchise tagging him again, but that would not make the quarterback happy.
If he does end up hitting free agency and the Cowboys aren’t able to keep him, the Indianapolis Colts could be a team to keep a close eye on. They are betting favorites to land Prescott if he leaves Dallas.
Last season, Prescott took a big step forward in his development. He was even in the MVP conversation at some points throughout the year. On the year, Prescott ended up completing 65.1 percent of his pass attempts for 4,902 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
