3. Aaron Jones Is Just Starting To Reach His Potential
Granted, we aren’t saying that his 16-touchdown number will rise, but he has not reached his full potential yet. Last season was the first year that the Packers actually unleashed Jones as their full-time starting running back.
If the Bears were to spend big money on a running back, they need to make sure they are getting a guy who has room to grow and has not been utilized too heavily. Jones has fresh legs and has a lot of time to play at a high level.
Jones would be a long-term pickup for the Bears. They wouldn’t be risking paying big money to a guy who may only have a few years left playing at an elite level. Chicago should absolutely be willing to spend big to bring in a guy like Jones.
