The Carolina Panthers had a season to forget in 2019. Their 5-11 record was the worst since 2010 and good for dead last in the NFC South.

But the Panthers had a ton of turnover this offseason, bringing in new coach Matt Rhule from Baylor. Former No. 1 pick and MVP Cam Newton is no longer a Panther and instead, Teddy Bridgewater takes the reigns.

Carolina will finally be out of cap hell, as they are projected to have roughly $47 million next year, according to OverTheCap, with ability to have close to $90 million if they cut ties with veteran contracts.

The Panthers have some young talent and arguably the best offensive weapon in Christian McCaffrey. The front office needs to bring in a few more pieces as the Panthers are in a tough division with the Saints, Bucs, and Falcons.

With that, here are four early targets the Panthers should be watching for 2021 free agency.
