2021 NFL Free Agency: 4 teams who should pursue Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones, NFL Free Agency
NFL Analysis Network

Aaron Jones has become a star running back with the Green Bay Packers and put together a massive 2019 campaign. While he is currently preparing for the 2020 season with the Packers, Jones is also set to hit the 2021 NFL free agency market.

Green Bay had talks with Jones this offseason about a potential contract extension. Unfortunately, the two sides could not come to terms. That leaves the door open for Jones to exit in free agency to a team willing to meet his contract demands.

Granted, that will be easier said than done. In recent years, teams have paid high prices to running backs and have been burned. For instance, take a look at the Los Angeles Rams and Todd Gurley.

During the 2019 season with the Packers, Jones ended up carrying the football 236 times for 1,084 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also caught 49 passes for 474 yards and three scores. Those numbers show what kind of impact Jones is capable of making.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at four teams who should already be planning to pursue Aaron Jones in free agency next offseason.
