2021 projections for Cowboys second-year WR CeeDee Lamb

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the most explosive offenses, on paper, in the NFL heading into 2021 and Fantasy Football players could not be more excited about them. Their trio of wide receivers is the best in the NFL with Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup. After a strong rookie season, Lamb is primed for an even bigger sophomore season.

Lamb had an unexpected slide down the draft board in 2020. The Cowboys stopped that slide, selecting him No. 17 overall. He was the third wide receiver selected after the Alabama duo of Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy was selected No. 12 by the Las Vegas Raiders and No. 15 by the Denver Nuggets.

Lamb played in all 16 games, starting 14 of them. He was targeted 111 times, catching 74 passes for 935 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 10 rushes for 82 yards and one more score. Lamb shined on special teams as well as a punt returner and he took his single kick return to the house for a touchdown.

When you consider the injuries the Cowboys’ offense suffered last season, Lamb’s statistics are even more impressive. Dak Prescott was injured in Week 5 against the New York Giants, which slowed the offense down. The offensive line was hit hard by injuries as well, causing another dip in offensive production.

Andy Dalton, Ben DiNucci and Garrett Gilbert all started games for the Cowboys at quarterback last season, yet Lamb still had a great rookie campaign. There will be more to come in his second season in Dallas.

What To Expect From CeeDee Lamb In 2021

The Dallas Cowboys were looking healthier heading into the 2021 season. Their offense line is back intact, with Tyron Smith, Zack Martin and La’el Collins all healthy. Now, they just have to make sure that Dak Prescott joins them on the field in Week 1.

The team received some good news in regards to Prescott’s shoulder, as an MRI revealed it is healing properly. That puts him on pace to be starting the first game of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is excellent news for Cowboys fans and Fantasy Football managers that select CeeDee Lamb in their drafts.

As long as Prescott is under center, all of the Cowboys’ receivers will produce. Having three wide receivers as talented as Dallas does will create some competition for targets. But, it will also make producing with those targets that much easier as defenses will be unable to key in on one single player.

Last season, Lamb spent almost all of his time lined up in the slot. He lined up there on 93.2 percent of his snaps but has been getting more work this offseason on the perimeter. Regardless of where he lines up, he is going to produce.

Lamb is going to lead the Cowboys in all receiving categories this season, cementing himself as the nominal No. 1 option. He will catch 90 passes for 1,250 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. As long as Prescott is healthy, all three wide receivers are going to produce numbers that Fantasy Football managers are going to enjoy.
