As we head into Week 5 of the NFL season, here are three bold predictions for the Miami Dolphins against the New York Giants.
After a tough loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 4, the Miami Dolphins will be looking to bounce back against the New York Giants. Both teams are in a much different place so far this season, as the Dolphins look like one of the best teams in the NFL, while the Giants are playing like one of the worst in the league.
For Miami, they suffered their first loss of the season in a game that got away from them against the Buffalo Bills. After the loss, expect to see Miami very motivated at home to get back in the win column against a poor Giants team.
Despite making the playoffs last season, the Giants are playing like one of the worst teams in the league, as their offensive line and quarterback are both really struggling. With Miami poised to make this a blowout win, here are three bold predictions for them in Week 5.
Hill Goes For 150+ Receiving Yards
One of the top receivers in the league so far this season has been Tyreek Hill, but for his standards, Week 4 wasn’t a good one. In the loss, Hill totaled just three receptions and 58 receiving yards in what was arguably his worst game of the season.
Against a poor Giants defense at home in Miami, expect to see Hill have a much better game. Hill has already been able to go for over 150 receiving yards two times this season against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos. In Week 5, he will do it again.
Miami’s Defense Records 5+ Sacks
Coming into the game, there might not be an offensive line in the NFL that is having more problems than the Giants. In the loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Daniel Jones was sacked 11 times. Yes, 11 times.
While the Dolphins’ defense has really had a lot of success this season getting after the quarterback, this is a prime spot to improve on that. Andrew Van Ginkel is currently leading the team with three sacks this season, but this is a team with Bradley Chubb on it, who is very capable of getting after the quarterback.
Expect to see the Dolphins get at least five sacks in this game.
Dolphins Go For 40+
As we have seen so far this season, the Dolphins very well might have the best offense in the NFL. In the game against the Broncos, the Dolphins were able to put up 70 points in the win. While that game might have been an outlier, the team hasn’t had a game in which they scored fewer than 20 points this season.
With this game being at home, the Dolphins might be looking to get some frustrations out after the loss in Buffalo. Unfortunately for the Giants, they might not have defense to stop them, and their offense might not be capable of keeping the Dolphins off the field.
Expect to see at least 40 points out of Miami in this one.
