The Green Bay Packers are fresh off of a Week 1 victory on the road against the Chicago Bears in dominating fashion by a final score of 38-20. It wasn’t the outcome that many were expecting, but it was a chance for Jordan Love to prove that he’s capable of leading the Green Bay offense. Now, they are set to hit the road once again to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2.

Both teams picked up a big win to start the season. The Falcons are loaded with young talent as well, with second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder leading the way.

While the Packers are riding high after defeating the division-rival Bears, the Falcons will present a major challenge. It’s a game that Green Bay cannot take lightly. The Falcons are not a pushover team.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for the Packers in Week 2 against the Falcons.

3. Packers’ Defense Continues Dominant Performance From Week 1

First up, we’re going to take a look at a big-time prediction for the Packers on the defensive side of the ball.

In Week 1, Green Bay was able to completely shut down the Justin Fields hype. They did so with great pass-rush, impressive run defense, and playmaking in the secondary. The team will continue that trend.

Defensive, the Packers racked up four sacks, seven tackles for loss, an interception that Quay Walker returned for a touchdown, and six defended passes. Those are numbers that give the look of an elite-caliber defense.

We are predicting that the Packers will record another five sacks this week against Ridder. They will also record an interception and a forced fumble and recovery. If Green Bay wants to improve to 2-0, putting pressure on the young quarterback will be a must, and they will accomplish that goal.

2. Jordan Love’s Impressive Week 1 Does Not End Up Being A Fluke

After trading away Aaron Rodgers in the offseason, many around the NFL expected the Packers’ offense to take a huge step backwards. That wasn’t the case in Week 1.

Love completed 15 of his 27 pass attempts for 245 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. They weren’t superstar numbers, but they were star numbers. Against the Falcons, Love will continue producing at a high level and will actually pick up his production rather than slack off.

Green Bay will see Love complete 21 of 35 passes for 280 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He must continue focusing on taking care of the football for the Packers to keep winning. The Packers have full belief in him and Matt LaFleur will continue opening up the offense as he succeeds.

If Love does end up reaching these predictions, the NFL will have to begin taking notice. It’s easy to mark off his Week 1 performance as a fluke, but two weeks of impressive play in a row will force the league to respect his game.

1. Green Bay Moves To 2-0 With A Strong Victory In Atlanta

Finally, and most importantly, we are predicting a strong showing and a win for the Packers in Atlanta. While the Falcons are not a bad football team, Green Bay will be too much on both sides of the ball.

With Love having a big-time performance and the defense putting up strong production once again, we are predicting that the Packers will win by a final score of 28-17.

Being able to start the season with a 2-0 record was not something that anyone has given the Packers much of a chance to accomplish. However, they have always believed they were being slept on. A win this week would be a major shot at the media for the disrespect they have been shown, and it has given Green Bay a chip on their shoulder and extra motivation for life after Rodgers.
