3 cornerbacks the Redskins should still target in free agency

After the first week of free agency has passed, the Redskins currently have around $36.4 million in cap space remaining, according to Spotrac. Therefore, Washington has a variety of directions they can go at the cornerback position.

One option that could be had for a cheaper price is Prince Amukamara. Amukamara spent the past three seasons with the Chicago Bears, serving as the starter alongside Kyle Fuller — Kendall’s brother.

In just his last two seasons alone, Amukamara has recorded a total of 119 tackles, 22 deflections, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles. Even though he isn’t a household name, Amukamara has helped the Bears become a daunting defense in the NFL.

Amukamara, who was a first-round pick for the New York Giants, understands what it is like to play in the NFC East. Even though he turns 31 later this year, Amukamara would be a decent addition for the Redskins.
