3 defensive free agency targets for the Green Bay Packers

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Bashaud Breeland, Cornerback, Kansas City Chiefs

Adding the second member of the Kansas City Chiefs to this list, the Packers could consider revisiting a Bashaud Breeland experiment. He played in seven games with Green Bay back in 2018, racking up 20 total tackles, two interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and four defended passes.

Green Bay could very well be losing Tramon Williams to free agency. He filled in a role at cornerback as a veteran alongside Jaire Alexander and Kevin King. Breeland could easily be brought in to help fill that void.

Breeland is going to be a quality signing for whoever picks him up. He isn’t a star, but he is exactly the kind of glue guy that every defense needs to have.
