Earlier in the offseason, the Dolphins released Reshad Jones, who started at safety for them for 10 seasons. While Miami didn’t replace him in free agency, they added Clayton Fejedelem and re-signed Adrian Colbert this offseason.

To replace Jones, the Dolphins can use the No. 26 pick to select a safety in the first round. Of the options they’ll have available to them, Grant Delpit would be a decent choice for Miami.

Delpit started in three seasons at LSU, amassing 199 tackles, 24 pass breakups, and eight interceptions. The 6-foot-3 safety definitely utilizes his length to his advantage, always finding ways to make a play on the ball. If the Dolphins wants a safety that can create quite a few turnovers, Delpit is an ideal fit.
