Jarvis Landry
While T.Y. Hilton is one of the most explosive receivers in the NFL and the Indianapolis Colts drafted big-bodied Michael Pittman in the second round, the receiving core still lacks some depth. Jarvis Landry makes perfect sense for this very reason.
Currently, Hilton can take the top off the defense, and Pittman can serve as a red-zone target while he adjusts to the speed of the NFL. Meanwhile, Landry would serve as the primary slot receiver and a consistent target for Philip Rivers.
Something to consider, Landry and Odell Beckham Jr were vocal about their displeasure in Cleveland last year. The Browns front office is adamant about keeping Beckham Jr. but Landry, on the other hand, may not be untouchable. If either of these receivers were to be traded, it more than likely would be Landry.
Landry makes more sense from the Colts perspective as well considering Hilton is more like Beckham Jr. than Landry. Having two big-play receivers who can stretch the field works when you have a quarterback with a cannon arm like Patrick Mahomes. However, Rivers no longer has that arm strength. Having a more consistent check-down target will help the offense maintain sustainability.
