3 DSTs to stream in Week 1

New Orleans Saints (vs TB Buccaneers)

It’s possible the Saints are already owned in your fantasy league, but how are they owned in only 72% of leagues?

To start with, they have one of the most exciting, young secondaries in the NFL – on par with the likes of the Jaguars and Vikings. They have the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year in Marshon Lattimore, a strong #2 CB opposite Lattimore in Ken Crawley, and a superstar in the making in S Marcus Williams, Minnesota Miracle or not. They added Patrick Robinson to shore up nickel corner, and improved both their front seven (with the addition of Marcus Davenport and the return of Alex Okafor) and their linebacking corps (after signing Demario Davis).

This is an incredibly talented defense, that has a nose for the football. If you want turnovers, you want the Saints DST.

And let’s talk about their Week 1 opponent.

The Saints open the season at home (and we all know how strong the Saints play in the Dome) against a Jameis Winston-less Tampa Bay team. And while the Saints looked to have struggled a bit defending the running game in the preseason, do Peyton Barber or Ronald Jones really strike fear in the heart of opposing defenses right now? What more can you ask for?

Look for the Saints DST to start the 2018 season off strong.

And with a Week 2 matchup against the (presumably) Tyrod Taylor-led Browns, it’s possible you keep the Saints on your team beyond just Week 1.
