The Green Bay Packers have been relatively quiet so far in free agency, but one move they did make on the opening day of the free agency negotiation window was agree to terms with former Cleveland Browns starting linebacker Christian Kirksey.
It was a move that many fans don’t know what to expect from. Kirksey is a great talent, but health has been a major concern for him over the years.
Last season with the Browns, Kirksey was only able to play in two games. The year before in 2018, he only played in seven games. Back in 2017, however, he played in all 16 games and racked up 138 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and five defended passes.
Kirksey did record two interceptions in the seven games he played in 2018. He has playmaking potential and is much more athletic than the Packers became used to with Blake Martinez.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at three way-too-early bold predictions for Kirksey with the Packers in 2020.
