The Las Vegas Raiders made a splash in the 2020 NFL Draft by taking the first wide receiver off the board, Henry Ruggs III. This was a needed addition to a team that had a lackluster passing attack in 2019.

It became abundantly clear to the Raiders that adding more offensive firepower was vital to keep up with the Chiefs. Additionally, they made the right move prioritizing this area considering the Broncos made a very strong emphasis on adding skills position talent, too.

When looking at Ruggs III’s physical intangibles, it’s easy to see why the Raiders were excited to select him. The Alabama product ran an incredible 4.27 40-yard dash and recorded a 42.0″ vertical jump and 131.0″ broad jump at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Ruggs III is coming off a 2019 campaign with the Crimson Tide that featured 746 receiving yards and 7 receiving touchdowns in 12 performances. While his numbers aren’t crazy, keep in mind, he did play alongside Jerry Jeudy and they had to share opportunities.

With that being said, here are three bold predictions for Raiders rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III in 2020.
