3 early predictions for Chargers rookie Justin Herbert in 2020

With their first round selection, the Los Angeles Chargers are hopeful they found their franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert. According to most scouts, Herbert was the consensus third-best quarterback prospect in this year’s draft, behind LSU’s Joe Burrow and Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa.

Herbert certainly has all the tools you want in an NFL quarterback. He’s 6-foot-6, has a cannon for an arm and he’s athletic enough to move around the pocket or pick up yards with his legs if need be.

Herbert progressively got better throughout his collegiate career, with his best statistical year coming during his senior campaign. He totaled 32 touchdowns to just six interceptions while passing for 3,471 yards.

His rookie season should be interesting to watch unfold. Here are three early predictions for what we may see out of Herbert in 2020 with the Chargers.
