3 early predictions for Chargers rookie Justin Herbert in 2020

Justin Herbert, Colts

Herbert will struggle as a rookie

While Herbert has the raw ability to be a solid NFL quarterback, those traits are very raw and will need some time to develop at the next level. Fans will be clamoring for Herbert, especially if Taylor struggles early on for the Chargers.

When he inevitably takes the field in 2020, the offense will likely struggle immensely. Ideally, Taylor should start all 17 games in 2020, and give Herbert a solid year to learn from the sidelines.

But, fans won’t be that patient, and neither will the front office most likely. The growing pains will be pretty evident in Herbert’s play early on.
