1. Taylor Shows Off His Dual-Threat Ability
Let’s not only look at Jonathan Taylor as a workhorse running back on the ground. He is much more than that and will impact the Colts as a receiver out of the backfield as well.
Indianapolis made the decision to sign veteran star quarterback Philip Rivers to a one-year, $25 million deal. They went out and drafted USC wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to be a target in the passing game, but Taylor will be one as well.
Last season with the Badgers as previously noted, Taylor caught 26 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers came in an offense that didn’t utilize him much as a receiver. He was the definition of a workhorse running back with 320 carries.
Frank Reich loves using running backs as receiving threats. Taylor is going to embrace that role. Not only did the Colts get a potential superstar on the ground, they also got a running back that will produce quality numbers through the air.
