3 early targets for the Panthers at No. 38 in the 2020 NFL Draft

Shane Lemieux, Offensive Guard, Oregon

Finally, let’s stick with prospects from Oregon. Carolina needs to bring in more offensive line talent in order to keep whoever their quarterback is upright. Whether they stick with Cam Newton, roll with Kyle Allen or Will Grier, or acquire another quarterback via free agency or the draft, the Panthers need to protect him.

Shane Lemieux is one of the more intimidating presences available on the line in this draft class. At 6-foot-4 and 317 pounds, Lemieux combines size and athleticism to be a very likely starter in the near future at the NFL level.

The Panthers will need to address their offensive line this offseason. Whether they sign someone or draft a guy like Lemieux, offensive line should be a top priority for Carolina.
