Prior to the 2019 season, A.J. Epenesa was considered to be the second-best edge rusher that was entering the 2020 NFL Draft, only behind Chase Young. However, a less-than-stellar showing at the NFL Combine has caused Epenesa’s stock to drop significantly over the past couple of months.

After running a 5.04 40-yard dash, teams began questioning whether Epenesa would fit better as a 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 defensive end. At the same time, he could align on the outside in a 3-4 defense despite his lack of speed.

Nevertheless, Epenesa is a player that totaled 22 sacks, 30.5 tackles for loss, and eight forced fumbles in his final two seasons at Iowa. Just by watching Epenesa, he seems like a player that fits the Titans and is someone that Mike Vrabel would love to work with on defense.
