2. Bashaud Breeland, Kansas City Chiefs
Next up, Bashaud Breeland is going to be a very intriguing free agent on the cornerback market. He isn’t going to break the bank but he is a more than capable starter. San Francisco should have major interest in signing him.
Breeland was a big part of the Kansas City defense in 2019. He racked up 48 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and eight defended passes. Those numbers are impressive and deserve a lot of notice.
If the 49ers were able to sign Breeland, they would be getting a huge upgrade across from Sherman. He would slide right in and make their defense extremely difficult to throw against. San Francisco should do whatever they can to get this deal done.
