1. Ronald Darby, Philadelphia Eagles
Finally, the 49ers should focus primarily on trying to sign Ronald Darby this offseason. Darby would be a huge addition and would be the best option in the price range the team can afford.
Darby was impressive in just 11 games for the Eagles in 2019. He ended up with 37 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 defended passes. If there is a cornerback that is capable of making plays at a high level at the price the 49ers will be looking for, that player would be Darby.
At just 26 years old, Darby would be a long-term option for the 49ers as well. Sherman only has a couple of good seasons left in him and Darby could be a future No. 1 corner. San Francisco should pursue him from the start of free agency.
