3 free agents the Baltimore Ravens can target to get to the next level

Chris Jones, Defensive Line, Kansas City Chiefs

Where do you go to get the right talent to get you to the big game? To the team that just won it.

Chris Jones was a huge piece of the Chiefs’ 31-20 win over the 49ers. His two batted passes in that game played a huge role in slowing down the 49ers’ passing game. He also supplied a heavy dose of pressure all game that was also evidenced during the regular season.

Jones posted nine sacks this season after having 15.5 during the 2018 campaign. Jones is the kind of chess piece that every team in the NFL is searching for, an interior rusher that can also stop the run. Jones does it better than almost everyone not named Aaron Donald.

He was quoted after via NFL.com:

“Kansas City, I know I don’t talk about it much but I want to be a Chief for life. I plan to stay here forever, man, and win not only one championship, two, three, four. We got to build a dynasty here.”

But if the Chiefs are going to extend Patrick Mahomes, there is no way they can afford the defensive tackles price tag. The Ravens don’t need to extend their quarterback this year and have a huge need for interior pressure now that Michael Pierce is probably on his way out. With Jones in tow, the Ravens’ defense would take a huge jump.
