3 free agents the Falcons need to re-sign this offseason

2. Austin Hooper, Tight End

A huge part of the Falcons’ offense is set to hit free agency and it seems unlikely that he will end up re-signing. While Austin Hooper may already have one foot out the door, Atlanta should reach out and try to bring him back if possible.

Hooper is one of the most talented tight ends in the NFL. He caught 75 passes for 787 yards and six touchdowns in 2019. Matt Ryan loves Hooper and losing him would be a tough blow for the offense.

It won’t be cheap to re-sign Hooper, but the Falcons need to try. Talents like Hooper don’t come around all the time and letting him walk without attempting to re-sign him would be a major mistake.
