The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered through a tough 2019 season after starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger went down with a season-ending elbow injury early in the year. While the team didn’t make the playoffs, they fought hard and remained somewhat competitive throughout the season.

Mike Tomlin coached what was perhaps the best football of his career with the Steelers. That is saying something.

Now, the team is heading into the NFL offseason looking to make a few additions that will help them get back into contention. Spending money is always an attractive way to stay competitive, but Pittsburgh has to be careful. They cannot afford to spend big money on players that will make them regret the contract in the long run.
