Be ready to put the drama behind him

There has been so much speculation about Cam Newton ever since the Panthers turned to Kyle Allen and achieved some success. That, of course, did not end up sustaining and that only added additional layers to the commentary.

It’s certainly reasonable to expect Newton to be at least a little upset with the way his name his been thrown around in trade rumors. Matt Rhule did express how he is excited to work with him, as previously mentioned, but the speculation has continued.

It’s important that Newton keeps his focus on getting wins for the Panthers, or whoever he plays for next season. The signs currently point to him returning with Carolina and if that happens, he’ll need to leave any hurt feelings about the rumors in the past.
