3 ideal free agency targets listed for the Arizona Cardinals

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

1. Leonard Williams, Defensive End, New York Giants

Finally, the Cardinals could and should take a look at a sleeper defensive end in free agency. Leonard Williams has not developed into the star that many thought he would become, but he is worth a contract.

Williams ended up being traded from the New York Jets to the New York Giants last season before the trade deadline. He ended the season with 46 total tackles, 0.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and three defended passes.

Those numbers don’t scream big money to anyone. Williams is going to come cheap. If the contract is as cheap as it looks like it will be, the Cardinals should give him a shot.
