3 ideal targets for the Ravens with the No. 28 pick in the NFL Draft

Matthew O’Haren-USA TODAY Sports

Tristan Wirfs, G, Iowa

After perennial Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda announced his retirement earlier this offseason, the Ravens haven’t done anything to help mitigate that loss.

Given how the team didn’t bother addressing this hole through free agency, expect Baltimore’s front office to target a guard early on in this year’s draft. Tristan Wirfs out of Iowa could end up being their target depending on how the chips fall during draft night.

Wirfs is a day one starter, and while he played the majority of his collegiate snaps at tackle, almost every scout projects him as a guard at the next level. Don’t be surprised if this big fella ends up with the Ravens once the first night of the draft is over.
