3 ideal targets for the Cowboys at No. 17 in the NFL Draft

With the 2020 NFL Draft scheduled to begin on time, the Dallas Cowboys only have a few weeks to figure out what they want to do with the No. 17 overall pick. Jerry Jones has been busy this offseason, but adding young talent is extremely important to the future of the Cowboys with all the big contracts they are having to hand out.

Amari Cooper received a five-year, $100 million contract this offseason from the Cowboys. Dan Prescott received the franchise tag, but is in line to receive a major payday himself.

Bringing in young talent on cheap contracts will be key for the Cowboys to continue growing without spending big money in free agency. That all starts this year with the No. 17 pick, where plenty of impact players will be available.

Most believe the Cowboys will end up focusing on improving their defense in the first round. However, there is a possibility that Dallas could get aggressive and beef up their offense even more.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at three ideal targets for the Cowboys with their first-round pick.
