Denzel Mims
Without Diggs available for the Vikings, the offense now features a receiving corps that includes Adam Thielen, Olabisi Johnson, and Chad Beebe. While Johnson showed flashes of potential in 2019, Minnesota still needs to add a receiver or two this offseason.
Just this past season, Diggs hauled in 63 receptions for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns. His 17.9 yards per reception in 2019 was a career-high mark. With the offense lacking a big-play option, Denzel Mims could help fill the void left by Diggs.
Despite inconsistent quarterback play, Mims was able to combine for 182 receptions, 2,901 yards, and 28 touchdowns in his final three seasons at Baylor. Furthermore, Mims averaged 15.9 yards per receptions in those three seasons, showing off his deep-threat ability.
Standing at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Mims is capable of fending off defenders for 50/50 balls down the field. That is something that Kirk Cousins could use in the aerial attack in 2020 and beyond.
