When playing in the same division as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, having talent at the cornerback position is especially important. For the Las Vegas Raiders, this spot is already a need for them without taking that additional context into consideration after striking out in free agency.

The Raiders are currently in an interesting position as they hold the No. 12 selection along with the No. 19 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. They could very well be in a position to select C.J. Henderson, but if he goes earlier, using that later first-rounder on a corner is an option.

Coming away from the first round with a corner prospect would be significantly beneficial for the Raiders regardless of the selection used to do it. A player like Trevon Diggs would fit the style of play they embrace while having impressive long-term potential, too.
